Laboratory Services 
The laboratory at Field Memorial Community Hospital provides a range of tests that your physician relies upon to provide your care. Our lab is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and staffed 7-days a week, from 6:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., with staff on call 24-hours a day. Our medical technologists, laboratory technicians, and phlebotomists work with your physician and hospital staff on an inpatient and outpatient basis.
We offer diagnostic services in surgical pathology, cytopathology, hematology, microbiology, chemistry, blood banking, and serology. Using advanced computerized instruments, our registered staff performs tests on blood, tissue samples, and body fluids to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of illness.
Most laboratory testing requires 10–15 minutes for specimen collection. Call our department to receive more information on your particular exam. |
