| About Dr. Field: | “Dr. Dick” Field has practiced in the medical clinic founded by his father and uncle since 1956. Board-certified in surgery, he is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and has been a member of their Board of Regents. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Tulane University in New Orleans in 1949, completed a surgical residency there under Dr. Alton Ochsner, and then a post-residency program at Boston’s Lahey Clinic with Dr. Richard Cattell.
Dr. Field has served as a clinical professor of surgery at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, Tulane University School of Medicine, and Louisiana State University School of Medicine. His professional memberships include the American Medical Association, Southeastern Surgical Congress, Mississippi State Medical Association, Tulane Surgical Society and the Wilk-Amite Medical Society. |
